Andrea 2 Comments On International Women’s Day, I’d prefer to thank the entire women who've had to stand sturdy in a male-dominated world. It’s not been straightforward. I’ve remained silent whereas men made crude jokes so as to maintain my job. I’ve misplaced out on job opportunities as a result of they didn’t think that I, as a woman, may deal with them. I’ve been walked over, bullied, and harassed. I’ve been advised to “smile” as a result of that’s what we, as girls, are expected to do regardless of the circumstances. I’ve been known as a “secretary” when my precise job title was something completely different. I’ve labored twice as hard as the men solely to be paid half as a lot. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve turn into stronger in the face of adversity and discrimination. Sometimes that means that others see me as rude or cold. That’s okay. I’m going to keep standing robust and not giving in to bullying, harassment or discrimination. Happy International Women’s Day to all the robust, amazing women out there!
